There are many data publishers who invite other web sites to take a feed of content and publish it on their web site. Classic examples of this are news headlines, stock market prices, weather reports and images.

There are defined protocols for how to access this content and there can be license restrictions on how this content can be used but it is a good way of adding attractive features to your web site.

The panel to the left is reading the latest news headlines from the BBC UK RSS news feed. We have also built a slideshow demonstration which reads pictures from panoramio.com. Panoramio allow you to query images by geographical location so it is possible to retreive only images of a specific area.
