A slideshow is a captivating way of showing images to your visitors. When the show starts, the images are loaded one at a time leaving the visitor concentrating on the
presentation.
This slideshow is drawing the most popular images from Panoramio.com. Each image is loaded in the background before the slideshow advances.
For visitors on slower internet connections, the slideshow will not advance until the image is ready to be shown.
Because there are various shapes and sizes of image, the slideshow automatically resizes to the correct dimenions for the incoming image.
Currently the slideshow is set to play when the page is loaded. If you wish, you can press pause on the slideshow toolbar and then move through the images at your leisure.
The text beneath the image is a requirement for third party use of Panoramio's images. This could be changed to be a legend for your photo or prices to accompany product images.
Because we have bulit this slideshow in-house we have the ability to customise it to your complete requirements. The Showcase panels that feature elsewhere on this site are another example of a customised slideshow at work.
An alternative way to display many images is using a thumbnail gallery.
