Data Sourcing and Procurement
Often the technical implementation of a project is only part of the complete solution and IT companies concentrate more on the technology
than the information. We recognise that there is a requirement not only to provide a mechanism for working with data but also to ensure that mechanism
leverages the best quality data available. We have extensive contacts throught the data supply industry and are happt to advise and assist in sourcing
new data that complements and enhances the cpabilities of your existing IT infrastructure.

Ordnance Survey Licensing
As GIS developers we have formed a strong working relationship with Ordnance Survey, the leading suppliers of geographic data in the UK. Whilst being
able to analyse your data geographically is the ultimate aim of gis, the supporting data describing the geography of the country is
required to provide a frame of reference. We are able to supply and advise on the use of OS products.

Data Processing
Through persoanl experience See IT are well aware that often the format in which data is supplied does not meet with the use to which you wish to put it.
In these situations it is often possible to use programmed routines to process the data to a format that is better suited to your purpose. An example of this
type of approach is Address Matching data for use in GIS.

Relational Database Design
The design of the database structure is a critical stage in the formation of an approach to data handling. The database design impinges directly
on the ability to efficiently extract data in a format suitable for your purposes. We are able to offer our expertise in advising or preparing
the structure of your database and assiting you establish a solid footing on which your information architecture will develop.

Address Management
The UK benefits from having a well structured address system devised and maintained by the Post Office for the purpose of
mail delivery. The Post Office produce the Postcode Address File which details the address information for every address in the country.
By comparing the address information held in your database with that in PAF we can correct any errors and find the location of each address record.
Address Managmement routines enable data to be taken from any database and refrenced by location for use in a GIS system.

Data Translation
One potential difficulty of GIS is that each software manufacturer has developed their own format for the storage of geographic data. This lack of standardisation
across the industry has resulted in a requirement to translate between the formats of the major GIS software vendors. We have invested in the technology
to quickly and efficiently translate GIS data from the format you have recieved to the format you require.
